8th January 2016 Beauty and Makeup
It’s that time of year again! We all know when it hits January. The days are shorter and the nights are colder (brrrrrrrr wriggly shiver dance!) Everyone wants to stay in bed for that 10 minutes longer, so I see it as the perfect time to mix it up and start being creative and be inspired by all those beautiful shades of falling leaves. Introducing those darker berry lipsticks and browny/gold eyeshadows into your makeup bag makes a great change.
I recently did a Lipstick look using my favourite 2 beloved products that I manage to fish out from beneath my slightly ever growing collection of lippy’s every year. I think I’m slowly starting to need more space, lipstick junkie jumps to mind!!
Ok ok I’m getting carried away with telling you about my lipstick problems now, back to the products, I used MAC lipstick in Rebel (get yours) It’s a winter classic that most lippy lovers will be familiar with and you can use it with a slightly softer day look or opt for a darker daring evening look. The texture is great as it isn’t sticky or annoying like some others, it has a smooth creamy feel when applying with a slightly moisturizing satin finish, which I don’t know about you but I much prefer in winter months as we all know how it can be with those chapped, sore lips
. I find it stays on for a good while without making those ANNOYING little cracked lines that always need refilling in. I think I had to give just a quick whizz over every now and then when I’d had a sneaky festive treat :)

Partner it up with the beautiful shade of MAC lip pencil in currant Get yours here as I find without a lip pencil applied first my lipstick gets everywhere and starts to bleed especially with darker colours and before you know it I’m starting to get slightly dodgy looks ;) so make sure you use your lip pencil ladies then all will be good and voila you have the ultimate “berry beautiful” lipstick look. (Tip for a slightly softer look apply your chosen lipstick shade first then follow with a lipliner as it is less precise it creates more of a natural look, but still shows a great lip colour.)
